Whale Watching

You will most likely spot a whale during the months of March, April, and May along the Copalis  Beach coast.

The most common whale one will see during this season is the Gray Whale.

Some Quick Facts:

  • The Gray Whale makes one of the longest migrations of any known mammal. Every year they swim roughly 10,000 miles in total to the warm Mexican waters to breed and raise young; all the way back to their arctic feeding grounds.

  • Gray Whales are also known as the Korean and California Gray Whale.

  • They are roughly 11 -14m to 12 - 15m in total size.

  • They are only found in the North Pacific.
